Close to Castleton, Edale & the Pennine Way, and within easy reach of Chatsworth, Matlock, the spa town of Buxton, and the many historical houses run by English Heritage & the National Trust. Special Interest Breaks
The Samuel Fox Country Inn and Hotel offers several special interest breaks with a focus on country pursuits.
The breaks are based on a minimum two-day package, and are inclusive of accommodation, breakfast and dinner.
Fly fishing – Organised locally on some excellent waters, and upon your return our chef will cook your catch to round off the perfect days fishing.
Falconry – An exciting and educational day, with aerial displays, instruction and hands-on activities – An ideal introduction to a variety of raptors. Please note that a minimum of two-weeks notice is required for this activity.
Romantic breaks – Treat your loved one to a special weekend of pampering – Arrive to a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, complete with your own special message, and enjoy chilled champagne & rich chocolate truffles. The Peak National Park has a wealth of sights and activities to experience, and packed lunches are available, along with maps, brochures, advice, etc. to help make your stay a resounding success and a lasting memory.
The hotel and Inn is an ideal base from which to explore the wealth of opportunities afforded by the National Park, and a wealth of outdoor activities awaits you, such as walking, cycling, climbing, bird watching, etc. You are close to Castleton and the show caves; Edale and the start of the Pennine Way; the spa town of Buxton; beautiful villages such as Tideswell, Chapel-en-le-frith and the plague village of Eyam, as well as the Derwent Dams, made famous by the Dambuster squadrons of WW2.
There are an abundance of English Heritage and National Trust sites, and a wealth of history all around the Samuel Fox and the village of Bradwell, but don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself.
