GOVERNMENT ROADMAP SHOWSWE ARE ON COURSE TO REOPEN ON WEDNESDAY 19th MAY

According to the Government's road map for the incremental reopening of the economy, the hospitality sector should be able to reopen for indoor service from 17th May. We shall welcome your bookings for accommodation and/or table reservations from Wednesday 19th. See, also our news page.

Good news! Accommodation and meal prices reduced from Wednesday 8th July due to cut in VAT

Following the Chancellor’s statement to the House on Wednesday 8th July, VAT is to be temporarily cut from the current 20 percent to just 5 percent within the hospitality sector covering food and accommodation from Wednesday 15th July this year to 12 January 2021 inclusive.

So, at a stroke here in the UK restaurants have gone from being the most heavily taxed in the world to the least taxed – but it’s only temporary ……. so far!! See how we compare with other countries here.

At least for the time being that’s great news for those dining out and taking a break away from home, at least at the Samuel Fox as we've been able to reduce both our menu prices  and room rates.

Don’t forget, we’ve ditched third party booking portals so you must book directly with us to reserve rooms or book places in our restaurant.
